Mein Foto der Woche entstand in Kapstadt von der Rooftop Bar unseres Hotels. Wie kann man seinen Aufenthalt in dieser tollen Start besser beginnen als mit einem Glas Weißwein, guter Musik und der Aussicht auf den Tafelberg und Lions Head bei Sonnenuntergang?
My photo of the week was captured in Cape Town from the rooftop bar of our hotel. How can you start your trip to this amazing city better than having a glass of white wine, relaxed music und the view over the city with the Table Mountain and the Lions Head during sunset?
Mein Foto der Woche zeigt die Karlsbrücke in Prag. Ein Besuch in der Hauptstadt Tschechiens lohnt sich zu jeder Jahreszeit, aber speziell im Dezember vor Weihnachten mit den Weihnachtsmärkten zwischen den tollen alten Gebäuden zeigt sich Kircher ganz besondere Charme der Stadt.
My photo of the week shows the Charles Bridge in Prague. A visit to the Czech capital is worthwhile at any time of year, but especially in December before Christmas, with the Christmas markets nestled among the beautiful old buildings, the city reveals its very special charm.
Mein Foto der Woche entstand in Seoul, Südkorea. In vielen asiatischen Städten findet man noch die klassischen Neon-Schilder, obwohl diese auch immer mehr durch LED-Schilder ersetzt werden. Besonders cool finde ich es , wenn mehrere Schilder auf engem Raum hängen, wie hier in dieser kleinen Gasse mit Restaurants und Bars. Zudem gefällt mir die koreanische Schrift sehr gut.
My photo of the week was taken in Seoul, South Korea. In many Asian cities, you can still find classic neon signs, although these are increasingly being replaced by LED signs. I think it’s especially cool when several signs are hung in a small space, like here in this little alley with restaurants and bars. I also really like the Korean script.
Das Foto der Woche entstand vor einigen Jahren in Costa Rica. Ich habe dieses Foto wieder entdeckt, als ich meine Foto für den Fotowettbewerb ausgesucht habe. Entstanden ist es in der Nähe des Manuel Antonio Nationalparks während eines Workshops zum Fotografieren von Fröschen. Der Guide ist ebenfalls Fotograf und hat ein tolles Buch über den Nationalpark veröffentlich, ich durfte seine Blitzanlage und sein Stativ verwenden, sodass ich außer meiner Kamera und einem Makroobjektiv nichts mitbringen musste.
Mein Foto der Woche ist in Frankfurt entstanden. Frankfurt am Main ist die einzige Stadt in Deutschland, in der es Hochhäuser in der Innenstadt gibt. Deshalb wird Frankfurt auch Mainhattan genannt. Die Skyline ist ein Wahrzeichen der Stadt und wenn man mit dem Flugzeug anreist, kann man – je nach Landebahn – die Stadt rechts aus den Fenstern von oben sehen. Für mich ist dann das Zeichen, bald im Feierabend zu sein.
Aber auch am Boden bekommt man tolle Ansichten der Stadt zu sehen, zum Beispiel von den Brücken am Main entlang, vom Rathausplatz, der Hauptwache oder der Taunusanlage.
Der Maintower in der Innenstadt hat eine Aussichtsplattform auf 200 m und erlaubt eine Rundum-Aussicht auf die Innenstadt und auch der Kaiserdom hat eine tolle Panorama-Aussicht von seinem 95 m hohen Turm.
My photo of the week was taken in Frankfurt. Frankfurt am Main is the only city in Germany with skyscrapers in its city center. That’s why Frankfurt is also called Mainhattan. The skyline is a landmark of the city, and if you arrive by plane, you can see the city from above from the windows of the right hand side, depending on the runway. For me, that’s the signal that it’s almost time to end my shift.
But you can also see great views of the city from the ground, for example from the bridges along the River Main, from the town hall square, Hauptwache or the park area of the Taunusanlage.
The Maintower in the city center has an observation deck at 200 m above sea level and allows a panoramic view of the city center, and the Kaiserdom/Imperial Cathedral also has a great panoramic view from its 95 m high tower.
Mein Foto der Woche entstand in der Nähe von Stuttgart. Ich liebe den Herbst mit all seinen Farben, ganz besonders natürlich die warmen und sonnigen Tage, welche die Blätter zum Leuchten bringen.
Mein Foto der Woche wurde stammt nochmals aus Andalusien. Es zeigt den „Torre de los Ladrones“ – der Turm der Diebe. Es ist vermutlich ein Wachturm aus dem 13. bis 15. Jahrhundert und wurde zur Überwachung der Küste genutzt.
An den Wachturm grenzt das Naturschutzgebiet „Monumento Natural de las Dunas de Artola“ mit einem wunderschönen Strand.
Auch Anfang Oktober war das Wetter noch gut genug, um die Tage am Strand zu verbringen und im Meer zu schwimmen. Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal!

My photo of the week was captured in Andalusia, Spain. You can see “Torre de los Ladrones” – the tower of thieves. It is probably a watchtower from the 13th to 15th centuries and was used to monitor the coast.
The watchtower is located next to the nature reserve “Monumento Natural de las Dunas de Artola” with a beautiful beach.
Even at the beginning of October, the weather was still good enough to spend the days at the beach and swim in the sea. I’m already looking forward to the next time!
