Das Foto der Woche entstand in Stuttgart.

Alte Treppenhäuser wie dieses findet man oft in Häusern aus der Gründerzeit (um 1900). Besonders ist, dass es noch heute originale Holzgeländer und Holztreppen sind, oft in Kombination mit aufwendigen Terrazzoböden oder Mettlacher Platten (Steinzeugfliessen).

Zu finden sind diese Gebäude noch im Stuttgarter Süden und Westen. Da die Häuser zumeist Wohnhäuser sind, sind diese nicht öffentlich zugänglich – umso mehr freue ich mich, dass ich dieses Foto aufnehmen durfte.

The Photo of the Week was taken in Stuttgart.

Old stairwells like this one are often found in buildings from the era around 1900. A distinctive feature is that the original wooden railings and staircases remain intact, often combined with elaborate terrazzo flooring or traditional and old stoneware tiles.

These buildings can still be found in the districts south and west of Stuttgart. Since they are primarily residential buildings and they are not open to the public. I was very lucky to get this shot!
