Mein Foto der Woche entstand in Mérida auf der Yucatan Halbinsel in México. Ich mag die alten Gebäude mit abgeplatzter Farbe sehr gerne und speziell hier findet man viele unterschiedlich-bunte Häuser: von Ocker- und Brauntönen über rot und pink bis zu blau und grün.

Manchmal finde ich es schwierig, Gebäude zu fotografieren, da oft die echte Größe nicht zu erahnen ist oder das Bild leblos wirken kann. Daher probiere ich des Öfteren, Menschen zu integrieren. Das ist manchmal mit einer Wartezeit verbunden, vor allem wenn man den Wunsch hat, dass die Person etwas bestimmtes an hat oder eine bestimmte Farbe trägt.

My photo of the week was taken in Mérida on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. I really like the old buildings with their chipped paint, and here in particular you can find many differently colorful houses: from ochre and brown tones to red and pink, and even blue and green.

Sometimes I find it difficult to photograph buildings, as their true size is often hard to capture, or the image can appear lifeless. Therefore, I often try to include people in the photos. This often needs some waiting time, especially if I want the person to be wearing something specific or a particular color.
