Das Foto der Woche ist in Frankfurt am Main entstanden. Es zeigt die Europäische Zentralbank, welche im 2014 eingezogen ist. In beiden Türmen, die durch ein hohes Atrium miteinander verbunden sind, spiegelt sich von außen der Himmel und je nach Tageszeit und Wetterlage sieht das monumentale Gebäude immer ein wenig anders aus.

Eingebunden wurde die alte historische Großmarkthalle von 1928 mit einer Länge von 220 Metern, welche unter Denkmalschutz steht und heute als Kantine, sowie als Presse- und Konferenz-Zentrum genutzt wird.

Die Türme selbst sind 185 Meter hoch.

This week’s photo was taken in Frankfurt am Main. It shows the European Central Bank, which moved in in 2014. The sky is reflected in the two towers, which are connected by a high atrium, and the monumental building always looks slightly different depending on the time of day and the weather.

The old historic wholesale market hall from 1928, with a length of 220 meters, which is a listed heritage building and is now used as a canteen, as well as a press and conference center, was included.

The towers are 185 meter high.
