Mein Foto der Woche ist in México City entstanden.
Der Plaza Garibaldi ist ein Platz, an dem abends viele Mariachi Bands gegen Geld Lieder spielen. Wenn man aber sich nichts spezielles wünscht, kann man auch einfach zuhören. Am Platz selbst gibt es Bars und Restaurants und die Musiker spielen sowohl in den Locations, als auch auf dem Platz.
Auch entlang der Straße, die am Platz vorbei führt, stehen die Bands und winken dir Autos heran. Auch dort wird dann auf Wunsch an Ort und Stelle gespielt: Mariachi-Drive in.
Genau solch eine Szene spielt sich im Bild ab. Die Band hat erfolgreich ein Auto heran gewinkt, man wurde sich über den Preis einig und während die Band spielte und sang, saß das Paar in ihrem Auto und knutschten – wie romantisch ist das?!
My photo of the week was captured in México City.
Plaza Garibaldi is a Square where to find a lot of Mariachi bands playing songs for money. If you do not request songs and just listen to the music they play for others it’s free of charge. There are several bars and restaurants around the square and the bands are playing inside the venues as well.
At the road leading to Plaza Garibaldi the musicians also are waiting for clients and they wave the cars to stop. They play right on the spot – it’s like a Mariachi Drive-through.
The picture shows exactly this kind of scene. The band successfully stopped a car, they agreed on a price, and while the band played and sang, the couple sat in their car and kissed without kissing. How romantic is this?
